Book Tour Stops: Day 1

The book tour is in full swing! Here are the first four stops for today:

1. A guest post on I am A reader, not a writer. I blather on a big about role models and their importance in a general sort of way that applies to the Young Adult genre.

2. Ebook giveaway! Enter to win a few ebook copy of Volume 1!

3. Peace from Pieces Interview. I have no idea where this is. Maybe it goes up later in the day. Check back.

Book 6 is out now!

Don’t get too scared, but I think Alice is definitely in over her head!

Three dead Corrupted. Three mysterious golden coins. What is their purpose? Alice must find out, and in order to do so, she will need to use all of the skills she’s learned so far. She cannot fail. Failure means a fate worse than death.

Agnim the Mage haunts her dreams, using his terrible black magic to plague Alice with nightmares. Once a character in the Grimms’ fairy tales, his magical powers have stronger and stronger the more Corrupted he has become. He has foreseen a cataclysmic event that could mean the end of the world, and only the hero stands in his way. But in order to stop him, Alice will have to find him. And soon. Before Agnim steals her sanity and destroys her mind.

Agnim knows her weakness. He knows her fears. He controls her dreams. He is the most dangerous Corrupted Alice has ever faced. There is no guarantee she can defeat him.

In these trying times, only one thing is certain:

The Golden Dragon will awaken.

This book also contains the following Grimms’ Fairy Tales:
- The Thief and His Master
- The Golden Goose
- The Mouse, the Bird and the Sausage

An update on book 6!

Good news! Book 6 of The Grimm Chronicles is in its final stages. This means we’ll have it finished very, very soon. We’ll also be putting together another collection (volume 2 for those of you keeping track), and this will include The Lost Journal of Eugene Washington, which you can download on Kindle now!

In other news, Ken and Chris also just finished a really cool project with a blogger: a short story with pictures included. We’ll let you know when that is up and running.

A must-read in Pages Unbound!

No, we’re not talking about the review of Volume 1, but as long as we’re on the topic … yes, The Grimm Chronicles got a great review in Pages Unbound. And we’re incredibly proud of it, too! You can click here to read it.

But Briana over at Pages Unbound also wrote a fantastic editorial on characters in YA novels as role models. Click here to read it.

One of the things that makes this particular post so great is the fact that it seriously addresses whether an author can play a role in the development of a reader, especially in the Young Adult genre. And having a “bad” character isn’t necessarily a bad thing … under certain circumstances. Definitely worth reading and thinking about.

This is something we’re trying to address in our own book, too. We want our hero to be flawed, and she’ll continue to address those flaws. But we also want her to be a role model, at least to some degree. We want to entertain, but also make a lasting, positive impact to the YA genre.

Book 6 is almost finished!

Book 6 is almost done, and we couldn’t be more excited. We’ll be doing a blog tour … two of them, actually! Each of the tours will feature 30 or so stops at various blogs. We’ll try to make sure we do a few guest posts with some tips for writing as well as a few in-depth interviews too!
